In 2001 my division was in need of a large and very complex relational database to track and provide management reporting on a $138 million of annual expenditures. The need was critical and visibility high. Scott came through and did an impressive job in a relatively short period of time.

Our on-air pledge drives *used* to mean two weeks of taking pledge calls, with the help of 100 volunteers and lots of paper. Thanks to Scott, our Fall 2006 Pledge Drive was completed in just over eight days, with the help of only 40 volunteers and no paper. We typically receive about 500 pledges during a drive. In the past, each of these had been hand-written and then typed into our database. Much time was spent deciphering handwriting and tracking subsequent data entry error. There was always a 'bottleneck' of paper forms to be entered into the database. Now, we are able to enter pledge data online, one time, and have it immediately integrated into a database, no decipering of handwriting, no retyping required, and no bottleneck. We also enjoy an updated drive tally immediately upon entering each pledge, which keeps the volunteers manning the phone bank and our on-air team stoked. And we can instantly generate a variety of database reports -- in real-time as the drive progresses, and immediately afterward -- which our donors and management team alike appreciate greatly.
As a small company we don't have the resources for a full time IT employee. Scott has given us the flexibility and responsiveness we need in order to have a professional website and essentially an on-call network administrator. His various abilities come in to play for us on a regular basis. Website design, network administration, database programming and general troubleshooting are all handled with one phone call.
